A 60-second brand film that opens on a newborn and runs through the NFL season into the Super Bowl. It carries a new platform built on the line that Autodesk exists to help everyone design and make anything.

The company is spending against AI anxiety with a deliberately human film, made with its own AI tools.

Where AI sat:

Created with Giant Spoon and self-taught director Salomon Ligthelm – using Autodesk's AI software – the ad celebrates the nearly 300 million people who design and make the places, products and stories that shape our lives. - The Drum

Today in Creative AI

Canva pulled Affinity, Cavalry, Flourish and Leonardo into one connected ProSuite on Wednesday, its first attempt at making the professional tools it bought work as a set.

The release names a long-requested Blend Tool, scripting and a large photography update in Affinity, with Cavalry animations editable inside Canva to follow.

For a studio that has been exporting between four applications and a generative tool, the interesting part is not the AI. It is that the AI now sits in the same file as the craft work.

The Read

Both stories are about where the generative step lives. Canva is moving it next to the craft tools instead of a separate tab. Autodesk used its own AI inside a film whose whole argument is that people matter, and nobody blinked, because the AI was in the making and not in the message.

For brands: Write down where AI is allowed to sit in your production chain, and where it is not. Then say the same thing to your agency before the next brief, not after the first cut.

For agencies: If you are using AI in production, put one sentence about it in the credits you send to press. The disclosure is becoming the proof of competence.

Avatar video from a script: 100-plus avatars, 40-plus languages, translation that keeps lip sync, from $29 a month. Teams use it for the functional end of the catalog, the onboarding and explainer videos nobody wants to shoot.

The honest limit is that the uncanny valley is still there, so it is wrong for a brand film and right for the video a customer watches once at 2x speed. Worth it if you ship volume and variants. Skip it if the video is the hero.
