Marc Jacobs Beauty and Google sent creator Vienna Skye through New York in 'How to New York', 11 films for YouTube and social from SuperHeroes New York. Subway cars, sidewalks, bodegas and buildings react as she wears Heart On Lipstick, Joystick Blush and Flashes Mascara.

Director Mike Klubeck shot it live with a real crew. EtherealMoon, artists in the agency's AI collective JIMMY, then layered in Google Flow footage: Veo for scenes, Omni for stills.

“Shooting in New York gave us real street scenes and the energy of the city. Working with artists in Google Flow let us make the city play along.”

Today in Creative AI

Pika released H3 Flex on October 29, a post-trained MiniMax H3 video model that Pika says reaches its app today. It takes up to 12 references in one generation: a product photo, a character sheet, a clip of the movement you want.

It makes video with synchronized stereo audio, and through the API it can return five separate stems: dialogue, score, effects, Foley and ambience. Draft at 768p, then upscale the keeper to 4K.

It's time to set up your holiday streaming campaign

Are you ready to reach holiday shoppers on CTV? For many streamers, the season is already underway.

Last year, according to Roku internal data, holiday content searches on Roku saw an 86% increase during October. And in November, those searches rise an average of 39% weekly. This surging holiday spirit is mirrored by consumer activity, as about half of Roku streamers shopped Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in 2025.

Meeting those shoppers is easier than you might think. Begin with the seasonal outcome you hope to drive: awareness, online sales, leads, store visits, or another measurable goal. From there, define your audience, upload your creative, set the budget and campaign dates, and establish measurement before launching. You can even create a shoppable ad unit that lets streamers buy with a click of their remote.

Our holiday playbook offers a month-by-month guide to reaching shoppers during this all-important time of year.

First-time spenders get a $5,000 match on the first $5,000 spent with code BEEHIIV5K. Terms apply.

The Read

SuperHeroes shot the people and generated the city. Pika's references push the same way: bring the real product and movement, and generate only what the camera could not get.

It's good advertising: the lipstick goes on, and New York answers.

For brands: Shoot talent and product for real, then brief AI for the setting. Marc Jacobs kept a real crew, director and creator at the center.

For agencies: Sell a series from one shoot. SuperHeroes turned one day in New York into 11 films.

Make this

Turn two stills into one move, like a lipstick on a counter that becomes the same lipstick on a billboard. The steps are from Google Flow's own help page.

  1. In a Flow project, click the model name in the prompt box, then Video, then Frames.

  2. Drag your first image onto "+ Add start frame" and your second onto "+ Add end frame".

  3. Describe only what happens between the two images.

  4. Pick aspect ratio, number of outputs and length, then Generate.

Copy this: Slow push-in: the lipstick on the bathroom counter becomes the same lipstick on a city billboard at dusk, one continuous camera move, no cuts

What to expect: Frames set the look, the prompt sets the move, and clips run 4 to 10 seconds depending on the model. Flow needs a Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra plan, features vary by country, and Google says the prompt should complement, not contradict, the images.

Tool Review → n8n

n8n builds automations on a visual canvas, with AI steps on every plan. Cloud Starter is €20 a month billed annually for 2,500 workflow runs, and the self-hosted Community Edition is free.

A team cutting 11 films can have n8n move each approved cut from the edit folder to the review sheet and the scheduler. The catch: a steep learning curve without technical help.

Worth it if an agency repeats the same delivery steps weekly. Skip it if nobody will own the workflow.
